1) My brother called me this morning to inform me that they would be leaving the hospital this afternoon. That meant I had to visit much earlier than originally planned. I didn't care when I would be able to see my niece in person, but I had an obligation to escort my mother to the hospital. She didn't know how to get there on her own and she wanted to see her granddaughter. We were later informed that they would not be leaving the hospital until tomorrow. I got up early for nothing.

2) My sisters and extended family wanted to see photos. I just spent the past hour and a half editing photos and videos that I took today.
