What does it mean when someone ends a message with "J"? The first time I got this, I thought it was an error, but it has happened several times since then.

That letter does not appear in the name of the person who sends these messages.

I think it's a smiley face.
When I compose a message in Outlook and type :), it turns it into a picture of a smiley face. If I send that e-mail to someone who isn't on Outlook, sometimes it's mis-translated into a J.

Yeah, in my last job I had to answer this question a million times. along with all the other ones. I don't like how Microsoft thinks they can make up non-standard bullshit and force everyone to use it in their software when no one else in the entire world supports it.When I compose a message in Outlook and type :), it turns it into a picture of a smiley face.
