And got really quite sunburnt.. Good chance to rememebr to use the nice new lotion I got for Christmas.
Was on the 'longest water slide in New Zealand'. And almost lost the bacini top when I came off it once. that could've been disasterous.

When I read this post this morning, I was under two layers of blankets, had a sweater and a long sleeve shirt on with sweatpants and socks...and I was still freezing. :-/

How am I ever going to survive the winters of RU? I need either a man...or a dog. :-p

Maybe you shouldn't go.

All signs point to YES.

Minus the whole not knowing the language thing. I think I can get around that, however, and be ok. A lot of people speak English there, and I am a firm believer that one can quickly catch on to a language if they are thrown into that environment.

Plus, I believe I would fit in better there than I would here.

Try a vacation there before attempting a long term stay. Why would you fit in better there?

I do better if I just jump in with both feet. That way I have to suck it up and eventually I will learn to like it.

I just relate to their culture better than American culture, that's all. And apparently the Russians love me, despite not liking anyone? I dunno. I tend to win them over far more quickly than what is considered "normal." Or so I have been told.

What will you do if you don't learn to like it?

I learn to like everything. I am content with wherever I have a place to lay my head down. There will always be opportunity to learn and grow there, so that's not an issue. Plus, it's not like it has to be forever.

Actual falling of snow on Christmas day is rare here, but I have experienced several Christmases in which previously fallen snow was still on the ground. That happened during the most recent Christmas.
