Just posting to say I am still here. Life has been crazy the last couple months - mostly crazy busy. But I still retain the nuttiness with the... skill... of a squirrel. (I need a thesaurus.)

Family Stuff: Talked to my sister a few times the last few weeks. I don't think the talks have fully sunk in as she continues to borrow. My parents and I are too nice to completely stop helping her cold feet. But with tax season coming up soon, and her expectation of a lot of tax credits, I think there is a way out of this one. She and her husband are working on ways to get other financial assistance. My fingers are crossed, but I do realize they need more than $$. I can't fix all their problems but there is a solution somewhere that will help them out. Help them help themselves out.

Work Stuff: Working my ass off the last few weeks. I've become quite dependable in my role on my project. A year and a half ago, I struggled to get things working. Nowadays I'm sought for for my expertise in a lot of things related to our software and the processes that go into building/maintaining it. This month, we're in the middle of another release and I am doing bug fixes. I love my job and the client we work with, but man, I really need a break.

Squirrel Stuff: I found a squirrel in the park. He now lives in my dresser. I know it sounds weird, but who's gonna go through my underwear drawer any time in the near future anyway? I feed him cheesy poofs and corn dogs and he seems to like it. He spends a lot of time napping and the food has been piling up in there. Imma have to figure out what is up with that soon because it is smellin' up a storm in there.

House Stuff: I cleaned the crap out of my room (excluding dresser, see above). I got rid of a shitload of CDs, and even some DVDs and books I never look at anymore. I used in store credit towards music points to buy the music I've sampled over the last several months. Now a collection of CDs that used to weigh several pounds now fits in my pocket in my mp3 player. I finally have the Clash, My Bloody Valentine, and Joy Division (among others) on this thing. Holy poop, how did I go all these years not listening to these groups before? They fucking rule. And, after listening to some punk rock on my last.fm account, I think I must really check out Fugazi more soon.

I also have walking space in my bedroom.

Music Stuff: Oops, covered that.

Reddit Stuff: Even with my busy schedule, I have managed to find time to browse reddit, for "just a few minutes" at a time. I now know what rage comics are now. I now know there is porn made from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. I also now know there is such a thing as /r/spacedicks. For some reason I can stomach /r/clopclop, but spacedicks, not so much.

Random Stuff: See above, "Squirrel Stuff". Also: for some reason, this page tells me I have one reply to a comment. But when I click on it, I see nothing.
