TP = Two Post
TP = Three Part
TP = Toilet Paper

Part I

Last night at work, one of my nemeses was bitching about "favouritism" in the workplace. I'm fairly certain that at least part of her bitchiness on the topic stems from the fact that Hotgirl and I are friends outside of work. While it's true that we make no secret about it, and often kibitz a little at work, we never let it get in the way of our professionalism. I'm also fairly certain that most of her ire had nothing to do with me in particular. Hotgirl gets all the shifts she asks for, all the days off she asks for, all the training she asks for. There's an adult education program at VIU for marketing and sales schtüff that Hotgirl was interested in, and the company paid her tuition (not for her books though, just her tuition) even though she'd only been working for us for like two weeks when she said she wanted to get in to it.

Hotgirl was not working last night, FTR.

Robin, my boss, got to listen to my nemesis bitching about this supposed "favouritism". Her response: "What do you want to do with your life? You're in university. What's your major?" Nemesis says: "Communications." I think: "lolbullshit degrees. That's more useless than my liberal arts degree." Robin says: "Exactly. [Hotgirl] is, what we call, a career server. She will be in customer service her entire working life. You won't. Once you're done with university, you'll move on to... I dunno, radio broadcast or something. Assuming radios are still around by then. [Hotgirl] will still be working here. Hopefully. She likes this job. She's good at this job. Can you give me one, valid reason why we wouldn't want to make her happy?" Nemesis grumbled something I didn't catch, and the conversation appeared more or less over.

Part II

Voldemort was working last night. I successfully completed my evening without killing him. Yay me.

Part III

My new Lettre de Marque states that I can work 25 hours per week. And preferably no later than 7pm. GM is working the schedules to try and switch me on to days. It's a process. The management schedule is fairly loose, and he was hoping to get me working three management shifts each week, but, I asked him for a few bartending shifts because I need to save up for something. He'll "see what he can do", and offered the alternative of an advance on my paycheck. A sizable one, which I could "pay back" through deductions on my paychecks for the next several months. While it would be better than a loan, I would rather not be an indentured employee. Slavery is soooo 1700s.

Part VI

Which I didn't include in the post because it would have fucked up the multi-purposity of the acronym: There is a LOT of really, really, really freaking awesomely good anime starting this season.

It makes me think you're taking up piracy. Is that covered by your new letter?

It's not piracy if I have that letter, TYVM. Piracy is illegal.

(No clue what that actually says, but it's what I got when I entered the sentence 'Check yourself before you wreck yourself' into an english to japanese translator. So there.

Better. Yes. Although my corsair needs a few repairs before it's seaworthy.
