So I booked my flight to San Francisco. It turned out air miles suck. I just bought the fucking ticket straight up. I'm 260 poorer.


I went to see Paul play at this place called Stage 84. I ordered a rum and coke and tried to make idle conversation with the guy next to me. He was too drunk to really focus but I was wearing a low cut shirt (that's supposed to be peach but is fucking NEON ORANGE, thank you very much American Eagle) so at least he got to enjoy a show.

I did not realize that this Stage 84 was a microbrewery and apparently it's looked down upon ordering a non-microbrew. I found this out when the girl bartender asked me "What are you doing coming to a craft beer bar and ordering a rum and coke". I told her for Paul and she said "Makes sense" and then proceeded to hit on me the rest of the night. Yeah, I could have so gotten gay sex from that bartender. I actually liked talking to her since everyone else in there was with friends and drunky next to me wasn't in any shape to hold a conversation. Though, he sobered up near the end of the night and I found out that he was 23 and a lifeguard. I thought he was at least 30 - he had that mature look to him despite being drunk. You couldn't really tell how far he was gone until you actually tried to talk to him. And a little stumble to the bathroom. But whatever, it's dark, anyone could stumble.

I left early too. Paul took a break and came and said hi to me and not much else. He then spent the rest of the time interacting with his other friends, without bothering to introduce me. But, all in all, a success for me as I'm not really into doing that many social things by myself and I managed this.
