10 Things I'm Going to do Before I Die
Sun Jan 29, 2012 7:07:45 am
Stole this from pinkphiosoraptor, obviously. Decided to keep it short and specific.
1. Spend my life with Joey
2. Go to Denmark
3. Own a nuclear fallout shelter
4. Work in a museum
5. Have a secret door with a secret passage that leads to a secret library
6. See the Book of Kells in person
7. Pay off all of my student loans
8. Build a tree house
9. Get a cat
10. Teach that cat to somersault

Since I'm so old and have much less time to do things, my list is very short: eat that banana before it goes bad.

Refusing to entertain thoughts (dreams) is sad.

This is seriously one of my goals every week.
And every week I fail.

I was going to put "live in Denmark," but I'm trying to be a bit more realistic/practical.
It's not perfect, of course, but I would rather live there than the U.S. I just like everything about it: its economy, its foreign policy, environmental stances, general progressiveness when it comes to gender, its education system, the fact that they aren't all conservative religious zealots. Again, just a big improvement over what we have here. I'd just never be able to afford living there!
Plus it's the happiest place on Earth and the home of Legoland.

In other words, I read a Wikipedia article about it eight years ago, and have been obsessed ever since. It's not perfect, of course, but I would rather live there than the U.S. I just like everything about it: its economy, its foreign policy, environmental stances, general progressiveness when it comes to gender, its education system, the fact that they aren't all conservative religious zealots. Not crazy about a constitutional monarchy, but it seems to be working for them. It's not perfect, of course, but I would rather live there than the U.S. I just like everything about it: its economy, its foreign policy, environmental stances, general progressiveness when it comes to gender, its education system, the fact that they aren't all conservative religious zealots. I actually have no idea if it's working for them. I just assume it is, because their country doesn't completely suck.

Everything works until it doesn't anymore. Society in a nutshell.

*agrees with this post*
I've been at that stage, paralyzed by indecision. Which is why I advocate doing anything, even the wrong thing, sometimes. Wrong actions can be corrected. Non-actions, not so much.

As opposed to endlessly spinning one's wheels, yes.

You know, I guess "pay off student loans" should be on my list, but I don't really care if I do that or not. I'm a rebel. ;)

...I'm trying not to think about it as I literally lack the ability to do so... -___-;

....maybe I'll just stay in school forever.
I thought about going to vocational schools to learn different skills just for funsies. Like beauty school, automotive technology, IT, just different skills so that I don't have to pay anyone else to do it for me. But, I don't think I'll have too much time to do that kind of stuff once I graduate.
