politics of ditching

it's really cold. i'm really cold. i might even have a cold. or it's just menstrual misery. but the truth is: i feel like shit and i can't possibly be good company.

so i sent a cancelling message to my date, whom i have never met, but he wrote acceptably bad poetry for me when i ordered him to. anyway anyway. he didn't receive my message, and called me from the meeting place. i tried to apologise, proposed to still meet, but somewhere close to me (3 tube stops or 15 mins bus ride or 30 hour walk from where he was) he wasn't up for. fair enough. then i tried apologising again, but he hung up.

yes yes dear internet, in the days when i spent my precious time answering random questions on a pink website -which then turned purple and then blue - i spent an extra few minutes on that question on the frequency of cancelling stuff at the last minute. i believe there should be about 3 days a month that should not be included in this frequency calculation. please don't judge my reliability from my hormonal state.
