Burkina Faso in a few photos
Wed Feb 1, 2012 4:14:56 pm
Fishermen catching cat fish.
Traffic in Ouaga.
The Lungren farm at Koubri on my last morning in Burkina.
Amazing to look out the window to see this:
My cousin's boyfriend said I was welcome to visit any time because I attract all of the mosquitos. Damn! That reminds me, I need to take a dose of Malarone today.
Hanging out at the crocodile reserve.
The two reasons I went to Burkina:

The mosquito photo is sufficient deterrent for me. I will never go there.

Except for the elephant, you could have taken these photo's in Northern Florida. Are you sure you got on the right plane? You didn't happen to run into any palmetto's?

Then don't go to Alabama either. When I visited TBP there, my legs looked about the same.

It took 24 hours for the bites to react like that. I had no idea I was being bitten until it was too late. Antihistamines were my friend for 24 hours straight.

Ah yes. I see now how you could have thought that. The crocs were cool but it was even cooler going to see them with my little cousin and his best friend.

Yes. I literally took a needle when I got home and poked them then poured rubbing alcohol over them. It stung like hell but that felt better than itching.

Paris, Tennessee? A park in this city is home to a sixty-foot replica of the Eiffel Tower. I can see how you would be easily confused.

Yikes! That sounds drastic. Mind you, I am the dork on malaria watch at the moment. :-/
