At some point in the past I made a post about my five favorite hamburgers.

I had suspected this earlier but I just confirmed that my favorite burger in the world is no more.

And now I has a glum.

DAMMIT.

I'm never gonna have a burger platter that awesome ever again.

The burger was always cooked perfectly, and too large for just one bun. They would put it on 1 and 1/2 buns.

The fries were flaky, crispy and perfectly potatoey.

The onion rings were heavenly masterpieces.

AND THE PICKLES. OH THE PICKLES.

It was from a place called Essex on Coney. It was one of the best Kosher delis in my general area growing up. They sold the place in '08 and relocated for a while, but I guess the new owners sucked.
