It would be really cool to wake up on Easter all excited to go find eggs or get a basket of candy or something. I kind of miss being a child. Sometimes.

I'm 24 and my mom still hides my easter basket. I am super bummed because I don't get to go home for the holidays. However my 28 year old sister will be looking for an easter basket.

I lived on 35 acres as a kid. My family took advantage of all that space when it came to hiding eggs. I don't really miss it.

Did you ever find the eggs? That seems like an impractically large amount of space to search.

I have eggs in my refrigerator. You can have them if you can find me.

We always found some of them. But I don't think my family actually utilized the entire area for burying eggs; I think they only wanted us to think they had. For one thing, it was a way of getting my siblings and me out of their hair for a while; for another, they liked to watch us run around like crazy trying to find them all.

This brings such an hilarious picture to my mind. Thank you for sharing this.

We stopped celebrating Easter fairly early into my childhood, but I always looked forward to receiving a book and some chocolate. We never did the egg thing though.

Getting a book for Easter is a traditional thing?

It was for my family.

Well, I received the book, my brother would receive like a frisbee or baseball set or glove or something...I don't remember what my other brother or sister received as I would read my book and play with the frisbee/whatever sport thing my brother received.
