What is the proper response to that? A client who I had not seen in over a year said that to me 7 times in the span of a half hour. I did not reply when she said it. I think she may have said it extra times because I failed to reciprocate or reply in any way.

The last time Mr Doyle and I was in a nightclub, we approached two women, and shook their hands, one complained that I hurt her hand, to which I wittily replied "So you will remember me."

I already have some elderly female clients who seem primarily interested in the conversation.

I'd probably say, "Yeah, man." Which could be interpreted as I agree and feel the same, or just I agree that you would find it nice to see me again.

It's very sad. I have one client who has frequent parotid gland infections, that cause persistent extreme halitosis, and she has had this since her teens. She doesn't have any friends and never dated anyone. She pays me for computer lessons, and I do try to teach her, but it's clear that she primarily just wants someone to talk to.
