Blue Recycling Bags
Fri Oct 22, 2010 4:30:42 pm

I'm not sure why they are so hard to find. Most of the stores that I go to regularly have other types of trash bags, but they either don't sell recycling bags or they are often out of stock. The exception is the Asian supermarket near my home, but they sell the bags at a ridiculously high price. I am surprised that Whole Foods Market doesn't sell them at all despite selling environmentally friendly biodegradable trash bags. I ordered a case of 200 recycling bags a few days ago, and they should be arriving today. I have a huge mound of junk that has accumulated while searching for recycling bags.

I think that the recycling rules vary by region, but the type of bag should allow the sanitation department to determine what type of material is in there.

I'm surprised they're hard to find in NYC, of all places. :/

You have a preference for blue, don't ya?
We live in the same city but I use clear trash bags for recycling.
You can find them anywhere.

I get mine in Costco cause they sell in bulk.
But they sell them at most Grocery stores like Stop&Shop. Of course those stores names are typical of Queens living.

Costco's brand

The next link is a google search which shows stores, online and outside, which sell them.
