I have a space heater. I like how the heat emitting from that smells..steam heat..
though it seems weird to smell heat but it smells nice. It's almost like a laundry smell but hot at the same time.

I never had that option in any apartment. Landlords are legally required to provide heat at no additional cost. If they give me access, then I can raise their expenses without limit.

Oh, we have to pay for our heat...it's included with our electric bill.

Was it also that way in Michigan?

Oh, I don't know how it is in PA--the heat is always there if we need it, but I don't pay for it...so, I would assume it's the same. But yeah, most places in MI is this way. every once in a while the heat is "included" and then they don't turn it on until the first day it gets below 40f.

RiGHT?!I had a place like that once--the dorms at my Uni. I FROZE until like...Dec., even though it would get down to the 30's at night, the heat never worked properly, even though they claimed it was on.

At my first apartment, the heat got turned on at the appropriate times, but it was always extremely inadequate. I had to buy an electric heater to supplement it.I had a place like that once--the dorms at my Uni. I also have a fireplace, but the heat from that does not reach my bedroom. I would have frozen to death a long time ago if not for my space heater.
