When we're replying to a comment, is it possible to make whether we actually quote what we're replying to an option? Sometimes I'm only replying so the original commenter will be notified of my response (rather than trying to make it absolutely clear what I'm replying to).
I should also say that the automatic linebreaks in comments is the best thing since peanutbutter. LOVE IT.

This is an unquoted reply. Uncheck the automatic quote box on the bottom to prevent quoting.
A quote still appears in the notification, but not anywhere else. I'll remove it from notifications later.
