Mystery Phone Number
Tue Mar 29, 2011 4:50:18 pm

I got a call from a phone number beginning with 668 followed by 8 digits. I had no idea who it was, so I did not answer. I got a second call from this number a few minutes later. No voicemail messages were left. I got a third call today, and I decided to answer. It was one of my clients requesting emergency computer repair services.

I know that this client is Indian, but the country code for India is not 668. I received a text message from this number with the address of where I have to go. The text message shows that the sender's number begins with 011-668, which implies that it's an international number. This country code doesn't appear on most sites that list international country codes. I found one that claims it's a code for Austrian mobile phones. I'm not sure if that is true or not, because it's the only site that lists it.

My family never stops on the phone. I just want to say few words and hang up most of the time ( unless I feel so lonely and I need to talk ) but they just keep talking, we say bye for like 10 times till we actually stop.

I have seen 011 here although generally it's 010. 011 has been strictly for commercial use.

One of the advantages of not being close to family is that they never do lengthy calls with me. Calls are very rare and almost always to arrange mandatory gatherings.

Last day me and my aunt spoke on phone for 1 hour 41 minutes. Till I find the tv series '4400'. Then we said ' We will watch the first episode and then call each other again. ' We watched it at same time in different cities, and I called her the last 5 minutes to end of the episode.

It was interesting to talk so much. I got plenty of radiation to my head.

I have never spoken to an aunt on the phone.
