Difficult Day Ahead
Wed Jun 8, 2011 3:42:52 pm

It's World IPv6 Day. Google worked fine when I tried it a half hour ago, but it's not working now. I probably had a cached connection to the IPv4 connection when I tried earlier, or something went wrong with their setup. Facebook still works.

I'm not sure if any of my clients will call for emergency repairs because of this. I already have two emergencies today, and I know that one will take several hours. I'm not sure if I can fit the other one into my schedule. The emergency is for a new restaurant that is opening soon. The last time I was there, I had to endure chaotic energies and horrible construction noises. I expect it to be the same situation today.

Also, the expected high for today is 95F.

Google is working for me.

I hope your day is as little chaotic as possible. <----that sentence does not look right, but you know what I mean ♥

Yahoo weather said it'd rain today but I decided to go to weather.com and it's just sunny as usual. I'm annoyed because I probably brought my umbrella along for nothing (hare carrying it while riding a bike)!

Thanks. I still have no idea what that is all about, but I am sure that my IT friends will have lots of fun holding my hand and laughing at me as I do try to understand.

I carry my umbrella every day regardless of the forecast.

It's a test of some new technology that makes the internet operate. If everything works fine, then you won't notice anything. If things don't work well, then some sites may become inaccessible until the test is over at 8pm EST.

this weekend, the local weatherman said we would have serious storms on saturday. he said there wouldn't be a tornado because tornadoes have winds that move in a circular motion but this storm would have winds that move in a straight motion.

we didn't even get a storm.

Although it contains some truth, it sounds very wrong.

This reminds me of my 2nd grade science teacher's use of "vortex" instead of "vertex".

I did not know about World IPv6 Day. We always have computer problems at my work so it's like we're having that day every day.
