Habitual Mondayness
Mon Jun 27, 2011 3:41:18 pm
I got up at 8:00AM today, instead of the usual 6:30AM for most Mondays. I don't have class today, because medical conferences get higher priority than Tai Chi classes, and no alternate room was available. I was originally planning to not work today, but I have to do some work at the restaurant. I thought that I would not feel as bad today, because I got up closer to my regular wakeup time (9-10), but I still feel as awful as I usually feel on Mondays.

I am also not an early bird.
My working day is over now. There is still stuff I could do here (one coworker is still in hospital and I sent the other home since she feels sick, too), but nothing is that urgent so I'll be leaving now and enjoy the sunny evening.

I naturally wake up around 7-8am. Problem is I have to be at work at 7am, so I get up at hideous 5.30am. Nobody should have to do that. Ever!

I agree.
I always wake up at 5am then go back to sleep until 6 or 7. This is an improvement from getting up at 2:30am (when the twins used to need to have midnight feedings). Why my internal clock is set at 5am I'll never know...

Why didn't you go back to sleep?
I didn't want to sleep
Maybe sleeping too much was a defense mechanism, and now that I am relieved..
