weird dream
Sat Aug 29, 2009 1:18:51 pm

i just woke up from a very odd dream.
In it, I was going back to middle school to enroll in classes. When I received my schedule I found listed classes which I thought were suitable only for someone who was incredibly agoraphobic/mentally handicapped. I had an "outdoor area coping skills" class called "Making sense" where I was basically walked around a field for an hour a day. They had also scheduled me for a picnic setting class and a tent pinning class, which doesn't quite make sense for someone who is afraid go to outside. One of my classes was listed merely as "seafood" as taught by "Tabasco". Needless to say I was outraged. My dad was with me and expressed that he'd prefer to have classes such as these than classes labeled for "university".

I could have benefited from these classes when I was in middle school.

Except for the seafood class.

were the clues in the tone of voice,
or based on an understanding of what he regards to be of value?
the latter.

I probably could still benefit from that one.

re: comment#9
my interest stems from being curious about how they would structure the syllabus and the pedagogical method
rather than the actual content.
That is definitely part of it.

Habit, convenience, or is it a special diet?

none. it's a treat to myself. I love it and I usually just eat instant oatmeal at work or spend a ridiculous amount of money purchasing a bagel.

I still get school dreams 13 years after graduating.
