I have such bad luck when it comes to men.
Sign #2031 that I should just remain single.

Will being less ambiguous hurt you in any way?

Well, yes it will probably hurt me a bit...but just for you, I shall clarify.I have the worse luck with men. Perhaps I bring it upon myself.
Example: This weekend I was supposed to go over to this guys apt to watch a movie while enjoying wine and a fire in his fireplace. First, we got dumped with snow--over 2 feet of snow. Then, I was threatened with getting a severe cold because the person I give care to has been very sick (thankfully I was able to fight that off). I finally thought I was in the clear, but I didn't foresee the biggest hindrance of all--the guy himself. He canceled because apparently he had a bad day yesterday and wanted to spend today recouping.
Um, how taxing is watching a movie?
This is just one example. Whenever I have a date with someone either something goes terribly wrong (like one time this guy and I got a flat tire, locked the keys in the car (with the headlights on and car running) and had to hitchhike for help), nature hates me and plans get canceled (I finally got a date to a concert with this friend I had been in love with for a year--then, once again it snowed and the concert was canceled. That shouldn't stop things from progressing though, right? Oh no...he came down with pneumonia and went home for the next three weeks--where his ex came over every day to make him better--and they got back together.) and I could just go on. And don't even get me started about the few that I have actually made it past the first date!
I am thinking that perhaps I should just admit that perhaps it's not my fate to date.

Exactly. So, if the problem is me, then that doesn't change anything. Some people have the green thumb, and some don't.

Farmers can change their choice of fertilizers and where they get their seeds.

They can also choose where to plant their seeds.Or, they can decide on a career change when they realize that no matter what they do, where they do it, or what methods they use, they still can't control the weather.

Bad weather for one type of crop is good weather for another type. Insisting on the wrong type of crop goes against nature.

Well, it's flooding...and I am allergic to rice, so I guess I am screwed. I don't want rice. I want potatoes.

Focusing too much on potatoes and rice can prevent you from seeing that there are more than two types of crops available.

You know what, I don't care if there are. I am very specific in what I want--my religion calls me to be. Since I am serious about my faith, then yes, my choices are limited but so be it.
