It's kind of sad the kids of today don't even have recess anymore. I drive past my old elementary school and the playgrounds are all gone, the field where we had field day is gone, all it is is portables. It's a shame. My friend Sheryl had her kids in school here and she couldn't believe they didn't get recess in elementary school. No more music programs, art programs, or library services. Just FCAT and more FCAT. Teach to the test! Plus, teachers get paid like nothing here.

Because we found an "As Seen on TV" upside down tomato growing system at the thrift store and thought we'd try it. I haven't grown tomatoes before either, and this looked like a way to keep the dogs from running over them.
