I'm so tired of hearing this on the radio. This song is the awesome but the rest of the CD blows.

We do this at my school. My kids LOVE it. I loved it as a kid, too. I wanted to buy one but they're wicked expensive.

I like to wash it and then go to bed without brushing it so that it gets all crunkly from sleep and then it has a nice wave to it. If I am lazy and don't shower till the morning I take ten minutes to blow dry and brush and then it's ridiculously straight. Ugh.

I never read a Stephen King novel... or even if I did, I forgot. Why, everyone on earth should read Stephen King?
Not should. It's just that there is a very large population of people who have read Stephen King. You were saying that it was old so not many young people would see it, but my counterpoint was that it is Stephen King. And he happens to be a phase that many teenagers go through when it comes to literature.

1976?

I don't watch old movies. I am sure the new youth doesn't also.
It's Stephen King, love. Stephen. King.

I think writing is a fabulous idea. The book seems like it would be marketed for a younger crowd. I'd say I don't read young adult lit but I recently devoured all of the HP books and Hunger Games so I'm guilty. There's always people who are going to relate to what you write.

Writing is a competitive sport. You shouldn't write to be marketable. You should write for you. If you put all of yourself into it then you've succeeded.

Also remember, there are no original ideas anymore. Someone somewhere has thought of or done or gone through the same things as you have. Your experiences are unique but the overarching idea is always out there, some where, in some form.

I completely agree with your last paragraph. I was that way for many years.
It actually took two people walking away from me/our relationship for me to see how much they loved me. It seems impossible but when they kept taking what i gave over and over they were saying it was alright for me to act in that way. When they finally walked away from me and said they would not be in the cycle of destruction that we were in any longer because it was not healthy for either of us...they showed me more love than I had ever known with the exception of my parents. It was through them walking away that i understood their love for myself and for themselves. And it helped me to understand love more deeply.
I don't know if this makes sense or not but I think to some it will.

Meh. Too much trouble. They're in all sorts of different file types and I'd have to research to find one that can read all of them, plus I don't know how to transfer them from my computer, so I'd have to research that, but then I'd be afraid that the e-reader would crash, so I'd end up keeping them all on my computer as well so that I'd have backup copies, but then that seems like a waste of space and I'd be like, "You know, I should have just read them on my computer," and I'd feel like I wasted all that money on an e-reader and I'd be mad at myself.

So no.
Weak excuse!

You get a program (I use calibre) that transfers them into the file you need for you. And it's just like a camera. You plug it in. Then on your program (I use calibre) you hit "send to device." Done.

Books are itty bitty files. It's not like one book = a movie. Plenty of space. I save my books on my computer. I've only got like 2,000. I don't read them on my computer because I don't like reading a backlit screen.

So. Yes. :)

re: comment#49
Reading e-books is more difficult for me. I'm not sure why, but it takes me like 4 times as long to read a book onscreen than on the page. Not to mention, since it's on my computer, I'm always like, "Hmm, I wonder what's going on on blogstalk," and keep interrupting myself.
Mayhaps y'all should get an ereader.

I don't read hundreds of pages online.

Even when I have readings for school, I print them and read them on paper. I know times that I printed more than 50 pages at once.

I don't read long blogs.

I don't even read the links John give. I just can't understand them.
Interesting...

I'm having a hard time with the no car, no money, hour apart thing.

I'd like to see greener setting herself up for success. Especially if this is crush/love guy.
