I was just holding a really tiny hand in my hand, well, not in my whole hand, but rather with one or two of my fingers. (these words are not related to your wonderful words, but they are very wonderful words too and I am happy and I wanted to share that)

i just have photoshop elements.
i really wish i could study art. maybe in the future. for now, it's wing it.
PS elements may be able to do the things necessary to do this. This is LITERALLY an image of a wine glass. I used brush effects and a tool called the pattern stamp to paint an image that already existed. This is not a product of studying art, it is just being able to utilize a tool to achieve a visible effect. Which, btw, you can watch a whole series of cool stuff you can do. Erdos actually introduced me to the show.i really wish i could study art. maybe in the future. for now, it's wing it.

good job. i struggle with making photos look like non-digital art
I have access to Photoshop CS5 & 4If you do I can point you at some pixel perfect youtube videos that really make things like this very achievable.
