He's in some new commercial now for Whoppers I think. I don't think I've ever even seen that show, luckily.

My parents didn't lie often. The one regarding going outside is the only one I can recall. My siblings lied a lot, but they were mostly joke type lies. For example, my sister told me that eating the seed of an orange would cause a tree to grow out of my head.
Yeah, one of my older brothers was such a teaser! He would tell me that stuff and also tell me that I was adopted and our parents found me in a trash can. haha!! omg. He was so bad - but he also saved me, not once but twice, from drowning - so he can say whatever he wants!!

OMG, adopt me.
I will!!!! ♥

Plus, I never lied to my kids, ever. How could I expect them to be honest if I wasn't? Doesn't make sense.

re: comment#14
I only had one excused absence ever. It was for Chinese New Year in 7th grade. My family didn't even celebrate until Saturday, but the teacher offered and I accepted. It was the only absence I ever had. I always went regardless of how ill I was.
You know - I wasn't a proponent of sending kids to school sick. They don't learn anyway because they feel lousy and they also spread their germs to others, which isn't fair. Also, I don't think missing a day or so of school here and there is wrong at all. You're only a kid once and you should be able to enjoy that and look back on it with fondness.

Sometimes I would even surprise my kids by telling them on a school morning that they weren't going because I was packing a picnic lunch and we were going instead to the park to hike and canoe. That's the stuff they remember - not whether they learned parsing that day.

He doesn't have to stay still. Birds have very good balance and can easily compensate for his movements.
It wasn't the sense of balance I meant as much as building trust.

I think the guy on the left is picking his nose.
Or giving you the horns up sign.

I imagine this requires the ability to stay very still for long periods of time, aside from bringing the goodies.

Ya, I am. I'm a writer and editor, but there's a wide range of work available in those fields.
